Al Etihad Glass Fabrication Company

One of the essential items in modern architecture is Glass. This particular item covers almost 50% all of the external façade of new buildings. Therefore, special attention and treatment was required to this important item as it faced the enormous stress caused by the absorption of solar energy while enhancing safety under wind load. Al Etihad Group deemed it necessary to penetrate this ever growing highly specialized field with full confidence throughout the entirety of the process:

(1)   Glass Tempering:
To endure the wind forces of nature, regular glass has to be strengthened by placing it in a special Horizontal Roller Furnace where it becomes 4-5 times stronger than regular glass with the same thickness and the ability to break down into small particles which are normally non-injurious.
Our Tempering Line is a horizontal roller hearth reversible direction tempering lines are of a composite design, comprising two or more types of bending/quenching sections. This enables the production of either single curvature tempered glass for vehicles, or flat/bent tempered glass for architecture, using one machine.
This line consists of two or more specially dedicated quench/bending sections ensure professional quality of each type of end-product utilizing Radiation/convection matrix heating, with clear visual power adjustment control system.
Our tempering line is capable to temper Low-E glass, coated glass, patterned glass, tinted glass, and all other glass types. Tempering of both straight and bent glass.

(2)   Double Glazing:
Double glazing in both windows and doors has become standard for homes in the modern world and particularly those in colder or warmer climates. The ability to retain cool or warmth in a room is the major attraction of double glazing.
Double glazing does have other benefits, notably the prevention of draughts and the blocking of noise pollution.
For double glazing to be effective, the right kind of window frame is needed.
There are three main types of window frames used with double glazing. These are wooden, aluminum and PVCu frames.

This Technology made it possible for glass to be used in:
  • Frameless glass doors.
  • Frameless glass facade.
  • Curtain walls framing system.
  • Regular double-glazing windows.
The types of windows include casement, sash, tilt and turn, and many more.
Double glazing is commonly used in panels of external doors. These doors again are often factory made and fit perfectly into the manufactured door frame.

(3)   Decorative glass:
The Technology made it possible for glass to be a key item in decoration utilizing Glass Sand Blasting, Beveling, Edging, Arch, Round Edging and also Frameless Doors. All this features are among our production capability.
